Have to pour gas in carb to start....?

OK I have a 86 yota. I have to put gas in the carb to get it to fire, but once it does it stays running. So is it a bad fuel pump...carb needs rebuild with new acelerator pump etc..or what. I got a carb rebuild kit tonight so yeah..any suggestions?

carb needs rebuilt or the choke isn't working

try pumping the gas a few times before start up and then fire it if your choke doesn't work. becareful not to flood it though

ya dude ive done it a couple timez,but its not poorin a hell of alot in there jus a lil and it shud start
