In my opinion, the sad part is alot of younger kids really look up to Jesse James & monster garage. So when Jesse starts bashing minis that negative thought process about minis is going to stick with the young kids. It's preceptions like that which are hard for the sport to shake. If he doesn't like minis, fine, whatever, I could really give 2 shits less about what he does or does not like, but to go on making smart ass coments through out the show bashing them, that's just not right.
not her man im a kid... im 16 all my life been into japanese drift cars cuz when i was about 7 my dad baught a tape of initial D for me. but when i was 12 cruising around town with my brother i seen a local club called fallen fantasies cruising and the fact that they were so low they had to swerve around road kill blew my mind and ive been puttin minis on the back burner since i was 12... but at 14 i realized that a lot of car guys are dicks and hate everyone and always want to be better than john dough up the street sayin "im gonna get more t.v's than him and more this or that to be better"... and mini guys work like a fimily helping each other saying shit like " hey lets make yours lower than mine!" or something and actually help eachother out a lot more... i have experienced this first hand when my bro was into jap scrape noone would give him a deal on anything... but then he switched to a german car which is an audi a4 and they helped each other out giving parts for free or dirt cheap if they didnt need it any more... and with me i traded a gallon of fiberglass that i get for free for a head unit, the guy aproached me and said "hey ill give ya something for some fiberglass" i told him he could have it for free when he came to pick it up at my house he gave me a head unit and said " gotta get you started on the dime" and i asked him why he did that and his response was "get young guys hooked onto minis.... so you can be on your way to make a sick ass mini..... and he remembered how it was hard for him in highschool having to pay top dollar for parts because the scene about 10 years ago in this part of southern ontario was basicly him and like 4 other guys"
