hey on TRICK MY TRUCK they did a lowrider theme (HOLD ON) and in the back they made a cover for the tool box or some thing and the guy took a piece of sheet metal, took his grinder and did a swirl polish on it then sprayed a red base over the top of it, HOW DO I PAINT OVER A SWIRL POLISH AND STILL SEE THE METAL (SWIRL POLISH) also i'm not a painter so is this a dumb question.

sounds like from the discription it's a kandy he sprayed. I can't think of any specific trucks off the top of my head right now, but i know i've taken plenty of photos of paint jobs like that. browse Layinbody.com in the show coverage, i'm sure you'll find more pictures of that technique on there that i've taken

it was deffinentally a kandy, and it wasnt nomal carbon steel, it was stainless so it wont corrode in the future, you cant do that to normal carbon steel and expect it to last too long......

get a chunk of stainless, do a ton of grinder marks and swirls....whipe it down really really clean....then shoot whatever color kandy you want over it...then clear it.

hope that helps.
