Hey can anyone fill me in on why i would need to get a custom 4link for my dime? Im gonna do 22s out back with a nice deep dish so ill have to have the rear axel shortened some. but everything else will be pretty standard. Can i just get a pre made 4link?

thanks

Realistically, with 22's, you're going to want to run a longer bar on the 4-link to keep your axle more centered when you lay it out. An off the shelf 4-link for s-10's run super short bars and will pull the axle way forward when you lay it out on big wheels...there's just too much distance to travel to dump it on 22's with short bars to make it look right.

my suggestion is to run a SD.com superlift 4 link, custom length. run a fuel cell in the back to make room. put the bags on the bars for ride quality as well as lift. and run rather long bars, probably around 30".

on the dime, youll need to finish boxing the frame where the factory left off, and make some sort of crossmember for the 4 link to mount to.

good luck, should be pimp.

Doug summed it up perfectly basically......Robbie call Jason at SD.com and he will hook ya up bro ... I love my SD 4link. Cant even compare to anything else that Ive seen so far.

Or just say screw it and go with the 5-link system. Well worth it.

I love my superlift kit with RE8s on the lowers. Itll lay on a 29" tall tire. 31.5" long bars, bags at a 5:2 ratio, and a blazer gas tank behind the axle.

Thanks guys. My boy Travis over at www.Metal-werx.com suggested a cantilevered link, with a pretty good length bar, maybe 28" lowers and 19.6 inch uppers, which he says would keep that axle stuck inplace through hell and back, plus mounting the bags off the bars would give that hella lift I would need also. Sounds pretty close to what Bryan said.

i would suggest the uppers to be 3-4" longer than the lowers if they are going to be triangulated.......
