Just as the title says, Im lookin how to wire in my 4runner composite headlights on my 92 yota reg cab.

They are currently wired to a toggle switch, but I want to have them wired properly. If I cant find any tech articles, then I'll just hack it up and figure it out.

They are wired into the factory harness, then from the headlight relay under the hood, there are 2 wires running to a toggle, this just trips the relay manually. Ive tried to remove all the toggle switch wires, and they still wont turn on with the combination switch, Im going to replace the relay tomorrow, and hope that that fixes the problem.

But if anyone has a write up on how to wire them in, I'd like to read it and see whats up.

-ThanksBrad

I think that there is a plug that you can buy that connects them. The old and the new. Im not sure but I think that is how they did mine when I had it done.

You can go to the Junkyard and get the plug that fits the housing and wire it up to your factory wiring. Should be three wire . Low beam 12v, High beam 12v, and a ground

so there is no other wiring ? other than just strictly wiring the 3 wires from the bulb to the 3 factory wireharness ?

I ask because I cant seem to get my headlights to work with the combination switch, but if I manually turn them on with a switch they work. I guess I'll buy a new combo switch and hope for the best
