How much of an improved design are the new bags over the RS,ES,HS bags that were out? I'm trying to sell my ES bags but I keep getting emails about how the new ones are supposedly cheaper and Betterer.

i heard they were stiffer and you didnt have to run shocks with them. How true that is i dunno, just what someone told me

They hold more pressure man, thats about all I can tell, I switched mine over to the Evo bags when they came out but I can't really feel a dramatic difference in ride quality over the old ones. They both ride excellant (sp?)

they hold more pressure because they have an improved rubber for the bag. there is no difference in lift or ride quality. and whoever told that guy that you dont have to run shocks is a moron. no shocks=no suspension. dont pass on hear say.

^I ran no shocks on slams. Was fine, little sloppy.

that doesnt meen it was rite. you need shocks for it to be a suspension and to be safe.

technically, shock absorbers are not needed for it to "be a suspension". not being rigidly mounted makes a suspension. however, shocks do aid in safety by controlling wheel hop etc.

always run shocks, period.

Ok back on topic... the new slam bags are made of a new rubber compound that wont deteriorate and crack like the old ones after time. Im running rs72's all around and get WAY more lift than my old airlifts and they are like 5x stiffer so im sure they will ride alot better. I agree with shocks in the rear but you dont need them in the front with slams unless if you want to make it a little less floaty. if you have room and want to run them, do it. if not its no biggy.

I thought they had already replaced the rubber compound in the later versions of the RS,ES,HS bags? Or is this another upgrade?
