you wont use as much air if you put them closer to the bags

You will use just as much air no matter if you mount them at the tank or at each corner or whaterver. I think setups look alot cleaner when the valves have a dedicated placement. When you open up the hood, trunk, etc. It looks like crap when you se 2 guady ass valves sitting there JUST MY 2 PENNIES

your valves will be more responsive closer to the bag. Because the valve will open and alow the air to go strait into the bag insted of opeing and haveing to fill the air line all the way from the back of the truck to the bag.

Mine are in my cab, and the exhaust is run out the bottom of the cab.

I did it that way to keep my valves cleaner and to keep them from freezing. And they never did freeze on me this winter (and its my daily).

mounting them near the bags will make the bags fill faster. you also have to consider how you are setup in the front, if your inners are removed you may collect dirt in the exhaust valves and moisture from rain.

Mine are near the bags kinda... the fronts are about a foot behind the front wheels on the frame rails and didn't have any problems at all thru the winter... it is logical that closer to the bags will use less volume of air too, so if you aren't running a oasis or edc you should consider that. I like the idea of having them in the cab too, just not real sure about the noise level though.

^ yea my fills are pretty loud, especially with nitrogen in them.
