Here's the thing, I've got an 85 3/4 ton crew cab, i'm goin nuts and changing it all to 1/2 ton. My question iswhich would be better-late model chev rear end and front spindles/rotors, or should I get 80-87 1/2 ton stuff. I here that the bolt pattern on late model chevy's are easier to find wheels for, but will late model spindles work with older ball joints? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

dude if ur just wantin to cnange because u think the bolt pattern is easier to find wheels for....well if ur talkin suspension from a 88-98 chevy truck, then that has the sam bolt pattern as ur 73-87 1/2 ton trucks!

I was told 73-87 is 5 on 5, but 88-98 is 5 on 5 1/2. I dunno, just what I've been told
