Okay, within the past few months that I've had my mazda I've redone both the front and rear brakes completly and I still have one minor issue. I'm not sure if this is related to me having a bad carb as well but here is the deal. Everytime I get on the brakes the pedal feels like my brakes are weak but with one pump of the pedal they feel perfect, and work great as well.

So far I have bled the brakes from all 3 points from furthest from the master cylinder to the closest and still have the poor feel on the intial use. I'm not sure if the rough idle is keeping the motor from producing enough vacuum to give me "normal" pedal feel right away or not. If anyone is confused or lost by how I have described it just let me know and I will try to explain it differently. I am open to any and all suggestions. Thanks for your help.

it's you're check valve going to you're brake booster, it's gone for shit, replace it, you'll be fine.

i had the same problom awhile back and i had to bleed the proportioning valve. its on the passenger side firewall, just fallow the brake lines from the master cylinder along the firewall. it should have a bleeder screw on it like the calipers have. bleed it the same way u bleed everything else.

sometimes you can get away with one fast hard push of the pedal( kick that b*tch basically) and itll move air past the proportioning valve.

yep I had the same problem and it was air in the proportioning(sp) valve I loosened the lines a little and got someone to pump the pedal until no air comes out then just tighten it up while someone holds down the pedal.....it worked for me at least
