As most of you know, our son Jaykob was born with an illness called Meconium Aspiration Syndrome. He spent 33 days in the NICU, 5 of those days were on a bypass machine called ECMO, and 12 of those days were spent on a ventilator. Jaykob`s first week was spent in a hospital about two hours from us, because our hospital did not have the ECMO machine. This meant that I (his mother) could not see him for the first 4 days of his life. When they left with Jaykob, I was so terrified that I would never get to see him again. With proper funding, it may be possible to get one of these machines at our hospital so another mother does not have to miss these precious days with her child. The money raised through WalkAmerica not only helps premature babies but also helps babies in Jaykob`s situation. Your donations could help with the technology and research to keep babies like Jaykob and his little neighbors that were in the NICU with him alive. Visit my webpage and sponsor me in the Walk that saves babies! Also, feel free to share the link with your family and friends.

Thank You!My personal web page address for donations is http://www.walkamerica.org/teamjaykobClick Now to sponsor me for WalkAmerica!

I donated 50 to ya. Come on guys let's help her out. Especially you other Father's out there. We all know how precious children are. You can even use paypal. Even 5 or 10 bucks would help. We can all spare a few dollars and most of us have some spare money sitting in our paypal accounts.

Thanks for the start Robbie. While my little man will be out draggin' one day, the future isn't certain for a lot of these babies. I saw some pretty sick ones while we were in that NICU. They really could use your help.

My oldest boy spent 46 days in the NICU when he was born at a whopping 2lbs 4 oz. It was a tough time but now he's 10 years old and strong as ever. My youngest, although weighed 7lb 8oz at 4 weeks early, was in the NICU for 6 days. I know how it is to be a parent and not be able to take your baby home when you leave the hospital. I never got that chance either time but ive been blessed with their health since.
