I know this has been talked about before, I found MANY posts. But none answered my question, By running no Wheel wells on a 88 Mazda bagged, what kind of problems with water do you have?

I was wondering if it would effect the distributor,A/C converted to Engine driven compressor, or weber carb?

Any info would help, thanks

the only probs i ever ran into with no fenderwells on any of my vehicles is paint chips from rocks slinging off the front tires. the other thing is the inside front door jamb gets wicked dirty after a while. water, no probs, paint chips -shitty

I had no wheel wells in the front of my old 87 b2000- it was bagged, daily driver. I drove it everywhere. I drove it one day when it was snowing very hard- it did great. But then I decided to lower it down and plow some snow while driving. Then snow started to collect inside of the engine compartment eventually filling it all up with snow, and everything was ok until water got into my distributor cap and the the truck died. Just had to clean out the cap and it was good to go. It freaked me out though when I opened the hood- all I saw was snow! lol. Those were the good old days.

go to trikblue86 profile, thats mike brott, he used some trailer fenders from TSC (tractor supply co) aand molded them in for his body drop, looks sweet enough for me to bite the style lol.

I've had fenders cut on a lot of mazdas and never had any problems with water or dirt on the motor except like bk2 said with rock chips and crap accumulating.

paint and dirt, never had a problem on a mini truck, but on my chevy crew cab dually, i blew a tire doing about 75-80 MPH, ripped up the brackets for the computer, pulled harnesses out of my fuse box, nothing 2 bad, just annoying, but could have been worse. Just look to make sure if it happens it won't destroy anything if you have steal belts slinging around in there. LOL

no water problems but when you decide to paint it fixing little rock dings that are sticking up on the hood from rocks hitting the bottom of the hood and denting it out sucks!!!
