First you need to fig what kind of plastic it may be... thats step one step two get a product called scuff an clean or prep bled many companys sell various products of this type you'll scuff it with either a gray or gold scotch brite pad depending on color if high metalics use gold do this very well this is a very important step after scuffing rinse with water..... after knowing what plastic it is should be on back side of plastic will tell you the primer should be like letters like.... pp... or abs.... theres a company called sem that has all plactic primer also to eliminate fig out the plastic once thats done you clean it with alcholo an lint free chem free cloth spray with sems or witch ever plastic promotor then either you can seal it with a sealer or base right over it if its sems..... then continue like its any other an clear it.. Good luck I paint for a living so sorry for the details like so but its important or you def have paint failure... later

also depending on your product your spraying you will want to add an elastiff so your paint will have a good flex to it an not crack or chip ttyl.... Hope it helps

i would contact your paint rep and ask him. they usually will have samples of stuff to use, and you can get their advise and techniques for free.

flex additives only stay in the paint 24-48 hours. After that they are gone. You only need to use it if you paint them off the truck and think you will be flexing them alot putting them back on. I work at a dealership bodyshop and we never put flex additives in our bumper covers and they never crack.
