68 f100 questions

so i was romping through the woods blasting rabbits and birds and shit with my shotgun, and i came across this old ass ford. i got closer and i saw that it is an f100. well i look a little closer and this thing is like freakin straight. i mean NICE. it has all the glass and everything and the interior is old but for the most part perfect. the engine is gone but that doesnt make a shit. my problem is, the i beams are there and springs and relativly new shocks. but the spindles and braking system are all gone. where could i find new spindles and brakes for this thing. i mean new brake booster and all. well pretty much a whole new front suspension. i plan on baggin it and stuff so what all would be involved in that on the front too.. thanksp.s. sorry for the book

i could use some info on bagging one of these as well. i would rather keep my beams!

dude find a later 70s front stub and put that on there. You will have a five bolt and will have a arms. Much easier to lay out and you will be much happier with the camber. You can get those stubs cheap for the most part and to lay one out low you will need to Z it anyway so you are killing birds with one stone...sorry for the book

fuck the stock beams. im sellin mine for that reason, i dont have the room to build a full frame.


the frame is so gay on these trucks, it drops tdown, then up and it wont lay flat if u bag it. and i dont believe they use spindles. or any i-beam truck for that matter

you can use 3 inch drop beams for 65-79 f100s, and the 73-79 trucks have disk breaks for the frt. i dont know about break boster cause i still have all my original stuff cause i havent had to mess with it. I also have cut the springs down just a lil bit cause a little gose along way. one of this pics has almost no spring in it and i had a shop bend the i beams but they could only get with one degree of camber. and the back i took a few leaves out to lower it. If this info aint got good gramer thats because i been out in the sun wirein my s10 and running new air line so who cares lol. oh and if you want to lay body then u gota change alot of stuff up frount cause the crossmember that holds the ibeams will hold you of the ground by more than a few inches and the stearin box is right at the cab with no room to z or body drop so that will be a pain.
