ok, I know people have talked about this, but I'm having technical difficulties with the search feature (operator error). I have an 87 Mazda b2200 and can't decide on 3 or 4 inch blocks.. I want the bed just above the tires (205/40/17 on Escalades) my problem is that my truck seems to sit high from the factory... anyone have info? pic of truck on profile (work in progress)

look at the top of your tire now. measure 3inches from the top of your tire going upwards, where that ends up is where the tire will be with 3inch blocks.

do the same with 4inches, and that's where it will be with 4inch blocks

man I must be RETREADED!... dunno why I didn't think about doin that!... looks like I need 5 inches with my factory mazda tires and worn 205/70/14's there won't be a difference in the escalade wheels will there? (wheels are gettin bored at the shop)

My truck is stock expect 3 inch blocks. (sitting on 16" buban' wheels) Theres a picture in my profile to get an idea of how your's would sit. I think if you went with 4in blocks and mono leafed it. You may sit close to where you wanted.

Whats the harm in pulling out your torsions other than bad ride??

Mine is on 16's with 3 inch blocks, you can see a pic of the rear in my profile..

I have 3 inch blocks and took out the two center leaf springs and have right at 5 inches.. You will need to take out the bump stops and cut em down or out completely but you will be like 2 inches or so off the frame so you may wanna notch it cause you will hit frame rails. I also have almost 4 inches of drop in the front and took out the bumpstops up front and cranked down the torsion bars and tuck 14's a little

looks like nascarguy3 is about where I wanna be, did you pull out leafs or anything?.... how is your ride? don't wanna go so low that i need to c-notch it unless I bag it.... and I won't be thinkin of that for a few years
