alrite i was driving my s10 like 2 hours ago and while i come to a stop light my truck turns off and it wont turn on and i keep turning the ignition it turns over but then it dies and then a light comes on and it says check gauges and then finally it turns on and i drive down the street and it starts to bog down when i step on the gas, so finally i get it and try to figure out wuts wrong with it and i kinda narrowed it down either my battery is dying cuz everytime i hit my switch to lift my front up the truck dies again but when i just leave it without hitting the switch the truck stays on wut r u guys thinking it might be? please help me out cuz i dont wanna pay a grip to take it to a shop when all it is, is a simple changing of something thanx in advance

you might have a serious short... or ground problem, trace all the wiring to be on the safe side.

dude my fullsize is doing the same shit when im crusing its cool but soon as my compressor kicks on the truck bogs down and tries to die...im thinking its my battery is not holding charge and its killing the alternator trying to run the truck the comprssor and charge the battery but i dunno either man. When my comp. kicks on my battery gauge hand dumps from 14amps to 9amps. Someone please answer this question for the both of us.

the wiring to the battery from the valves or just the main wiring threwout the truck, or is it possible to get a bigger alternator or better battery?

go get your alternator tested i bet that is what it is.

damn its gonna be a b**** to take out but hell if its gonna make my truck better ima do it, damn it chevy enginering why couldnt they make trucks without all the damn wires everywhere why couldnt they make them simple like my mazda

same shit happened to my 93 mustang, we changed the battery, got a new starter and nothing helped it was so fucked then i got a new solenoid cuz it was shot i guess and everything worked after that. took the mechanics about 3 days 2 find out what was wrong with it cuz everything tested strong but it wasnt

hmm damn a stronger alternator for mine is like 180bucks thats gonna suck! Would u think usuing a Marina battery would have anything to do with it? lol
