Chiltons are good too.

You can get a proportioning valve from an earlier Toyota. They go right below the master cylinder. Then your brake line just goes directly to the flex line and fitting on the back, and to the rearend.

no i knwo what goes where, but i wana run new lines back. can i run one line to the rear and jsu tee it off to each wheel? or do i need a prportioning valve? i dont think i took one off it..
i have no lines whatsoever im gona run all new line. on the master cyl there are 3 ports. i belive the bottom 2 where for the calipers and the one top one was for the rear. but on the pass side there was a tee, one line went to the caliper and the other off the tee went to the rear, then there was a elbow that also went to the rear. why was there 2 lines to the rear? i cant seem to find the tee or valve that was on the rear.
what shoudl i do?????

on the mighty max it has 2 lines running to the back of the truck to a propotioning valve. Then one line comes out to the brake drum and then another one comes out of the brake drum, across the rearend, and to the other drum. It seems pretty stupid how its set up but was yurs set up like that?

Go get a master cylinder and brake booster off of a 79-83 Toyota. You can buy a rebuilt master cylinder for around $25. I know, because I bought one. Then just find a proportioning valve at a junk yard, and take the lines that connect it to the master cylinder. And also remember which one goes to the DS, PS, and rear. There are only 3 lines, very very simple. The only 'T' is on the rear axle. When it goes fram hard line, to flex line, to a hard line on the axle. It would be very easy to do.
