I've bought a mini when I was 16 and over time did everything but body/paint work. Sfbd, stock interior and bed floor!

Now I have a family and I can't haul them in the mini so its time to go bigger.

My project is a 93 GMC 1 ton crew cab. My plan is to do the same as the mini. Keep it clean and simple. Just bag/bd it. Keep everything else stock as best as possible.

This is where you guys come into play!!!! On my mini, 20's look great but daily driving (or city driving) is not fun.... I don't want that with the dually.. So is 20's all around or 22's all around better for daily/city driving.

Fill me in on some things.
I was reading guys switching out the front hubs to a SRW (might be wrong on the model).. Y ??
Whats the reason for lengthening/shortening the A arms??

Switching out the rearend for a SRW (??) rear end that big of a benefit??

Gas tank need raised?
Heat/AC still possible?

Thanks guys. Anyone in the area let me know!!!

Im more than happy to answer some of your questions. Runnin semis 22s 24s ect is awesome.but you gotta pay to play. You gotta buy the wheels.aluminum hub pilot..mill them down from 22.5...24.5. Buy tires, adapters, your looking avg 2500-4500. To run 4 semis in rear you either can stretch your fenders, narrow rear end,run c

i don't plan on running semi's. Would be awesome but I don't have deep pocket now. I might setup for it but not do it.

Thats kool man. So you going to stay with the 16s?
drps10   +1y
no.. i'll look for aftermarket 20's i think

your not gonna find a set of 20s for your dually because nobody makes them....dually wheels are available in 16, 17, 19, 19.5, 22, 22.5, 24, 24.5, and if your a big baller 26s....as long as you stay with 19s or smaller your stock front and rear setups are useable....when u get semi wheels is when you gotta start swapping hubs and rear ends

damn. i really didn't wana spend $$$ on 22 but, I don't think 19's would look good.

Thanks for the info!!!!!

A lot of the direct bolt 19's look great, you should look at others' trucks before writing them off.
