99& up Silverado owners need help??

Ok any of you guys have a fuel prob with your 4.8s. Sometimes my truck starts fine and sometimes it has to crank a bit before firing up. Then it smells like gas. I know someone else who has the same prob and had it looked at 3 times and still not fixed. Any ideas????

I have the same motor and have never had that problem

I have a 5.3 and every 6 months or so my motor acts like will start and then die like its not gettin gas. But after about 5 tries it fires up.

i got the same problem dude, and the gas pump whines like a little bitch... and sometime it just dies on me at idol... but i think it just needs a fuel pump
