Hey all, my names Chris and Im from Ontario Canada. Ive been in the minitruckin scene for about 10 yrs now and have a 1990 toyota that Ive built over time that was featured last year in MT magazine. But with a wife and 2 kids, Ive been looking for something bigger to build that we can all cruise in.
Which brings me up to the present, and I just picked up an '85 crew cab SRW last week. I plan on going just as crazy on it as I did with the mini and Ill post the progress here as I go along.

heres some links to the build/final product of my Toyota if anyones interested...

Welcome. What are your plans for the '85?

You better have this at vanfest Chris... and my guess for this truck would be bagged and bodied and big wheels... RIGHT?

At this point I doubt it'll get to vanfest, but yes its definitely gonna be bagged and stock floored. Right now it's a SRW but I'm gonna be converting it to a dually and running some large semi wheels. 24's if I can get a decent price on em. Most likely will be building a 3/4 frame and making all my own front suspension again. Im really considering a shortbed as well just to be a bit different. Either way it's gonna be a month or two before I can tear into it because I've got some other things to wrap up first. In the mean time I'm just gonna be gathering parts I need for the build.

I know everyone likes pics so heres the truck when we were bringin it home...the cab is in great shape other than someone doing a backyard rocker job on it and the bedsides are junk, but I wanna swap to a shorbed anyways...runs and drives and also came with a full set of extra doors, fenders, bumpers, and some other misc. parts

There is a set of Alcoa 24s for sale just North of Orillia. I was thinking of getting them for my next project but I think I am getting a different model truck now... so they won't fit
