i just got a brand new rei dvd cd mp3 player for installing 2 tires on a buddies car and i got it for free. yes i did i got it for free but i dont know if i can use it with my pioneer 7400 radio. it doesnt have any aux button but in the radio adjustments there is a aux button that i cant access. i have a tv with the s-video cable and the cable that goes from the tv to the dvd player that has a small box on it. that has a rca plug and a blue wire and maybe another wire or 2. it has 3 sets of input/outputs. dpes anyone else know anything about these dvd players. i was told they are the dvd players that are in the coach buses but then again i got it for free so it could of been used at advanced auto or pepboys or something any help would be great thanks

ok....i have googled this info for you, hopefully it helps....

You have a REI dvd player

and you have a pioneer DEH-P7400MP

ANd you are wondering if you can use the REI with your pionner....Yes....however for you to get audio through your DEH-P7400MP, you are going to need one of theseor one of these

the first one is model number CD-RB20 and the second adapter is CD-rb10...both pretty much do the same thing from what i can tell...

AND then you are going to have to use the video output (yellow normally) from the dvd player to your screens....they do make rca to s-video adapters if you really want to use your s-video. AND for you to use your aux on your DEH-P7400mp, you are going to have to turn it on in your radio....if you need help learning that, go to http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe/vgn/images/portal/cit_11221/50004DEH-P7400MP_operation_manual_2002441351599070.pdf

You might have to sign up to see it but its great if you dont have your manuel...hope this helped...

oh and one other thing....i have found a schematic that might help....http://www.radioeng.com/schematics/prevost_system2000.pdf

it doesnt tell you what wire hooks up to what as far as power, but i am goin to assume that it isnt much different from wiring up a normal radio....constant wire, (+12v thats always hot)Ground wire,(negativeremote wire, (possibly)ignition wire,(+12v when car is turnd on)

BUt i have never worked with one, so good luck...

here are the instructions for the DEH-P7400MP

Using the AUX sourceAn IP-BUS-RCA Interconnector such as theCD-RB20 or CD-RB10 (sold separately) lets youconnect this unit to auxiliary equipment featuringRCA output. For more details, refer to theIP-BUS-RCA Interconnector owner

i got my dvd platyer put in today for $60 it was all too comfusing to me and i wasnt sure if i was missign anything i needed a fm modulator since my pioneer didnt have the aux output. he said th epioneers have it if you have a wire that goes from the cd changer and splits off to a box and thats the aux output an di didn thave a wire for that. so i just got the fm modulator and i get a bunch of sound when i speed up and slow down threw the speakers and it sucks its so loud. and also they took my rcas for the sub and used em for the dvd player so i need to see if they sell a splitter for the rcas so i can get my sub back again
