whos got any pictures or info on lowering the motor? ie. sectioning the oil pan and whatever else is necessary? looking into starting this soon.

You can either cut and re-weld the mounts, or buy a set of bolt-on mounts to drop it. Are you Zing the frame? If so you may not need to section the oilpan.. I guess you'd know after Zing it AND dropping the engine however much needed to clear the hood.

If your motor is out of the truck you can lower the mounts on the frame in about half hour. I cut mine off the frame and lowered them 3/4 of an inch. I also took about a 1/4 inch off the bottom of my oil pan because it was almost on the ground.

Like TIm said, if the motor is out it would be quick and easy to do it that way. But if your motor is still in the truck, you can use my mounts to drop it in about 20 minutes.
