Is there an easy way to get these damn things together. I've been hammering and vicing these mother all evening and I still ain't got the damn clip to go in all the way. Can anyone stop the misery before I cut them off and start over. Thanks

Good luck, we just put together some this weekend and it was a pain. We finally got the second clip in with getting it started then putting a big socket on it and clamping the whole thing in the vise to push it in far enough to get in the groove. We had to pound on the moveable side of the vise with a small sledge hammer as we turned the crank to get it in there. Let me know if you need any other suggestions or help.

That's what i've been doing. I used a bar link on one side and a socket in the other, put it in a vice and went to work. Finally got most of the clip in but there is still a little not in the groove and i've been working on it for at least two hours. I have 2 more to go. Looks like it will be a long night.

What's sucks is I have one from suicidedoors that was already put together and it looks all pretty and unbeaten and the one i have finished looks like i kicked it down the street for 10 miles.

Did you put grease in it first? We put some in there and could not get it together so we wiped it all out and then finally got it. Good luck.

No i didn't put any grease. Can you heat the bushings and make them get a little soft. I've never tried that. What do you think. Not fry them but just warm a little.

Ok, i got it. Everything was installed on the super pivot and the clip was in the hole but not in the grove. Got the torch and heated it up a little. Like maybe 10 seconds. Let sit for about 30 seconds. Used a bar end on one side and a socket just small enought to get inside the clip and viced it down. Used a large flat head screw driver to push the clip in the groove. Worked great. Dipped in cold water afterwards just in case. Did two ends in about 5 minutes as to one before in two hours.

Well something must of been different than most because that one was hard. I viced the hell out of, beat the hell out of it, and still didn't get it. I got it now though. Thanks
