whats up ppl? ok here goes. i want to run a 5.0 in my truck. does any body know what kind of headers or manifolds i can use. im also looking for a 2600i hood if anyone has one. what is the easiest way to do a five lug conversion on the front end? im going to run colorado taillights in it too. i think it will be sick, what do you all think?

i think you should do a 350 instead its a lot easier and you can use the headers from an s-10 350 swap kit, you can have the hubs and rotors redrilled up front, as far as the tailights go more power to ya.

The 302 is easyer cuase of the dis in the front instead of the back there is no way it could interfer with the firewall were a 350 might as for headers i think you need some equal lenght shorty headers

seriosly do a 350 swap so much easier, i had no problems with mine that was crutial. i put ceramic coated shorty headers in my mazda and i have plenty of room! also chevys are cheaper you can almost buy parts for them at a grocery store lol!!! i realy would have like to have a small block 340 mopar!

The 5 lug conversion is best sone with Toyota spindles. You can pick them up for pretty cheap, like a couple of hundred bucks. and all you have to do is ream out the spindle with a ball joint reamer with the correct taper. Besides, Toyota makes great parts. and the bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5 which is a very popular pattern. You can get almost any rim. The 350 is cheap thats true but try something new. a V8 conversion is nothing small, but you could make it stand out more with something exotic. You guys might not like like this but im gonna say it anyway. I always wanted to put a front wheel drive cradle in a mazda.

Id go with the 302, not only for the dis., but Ive seen it done in a mag. befor and it said something like eveything from a 87-93 gt will fit no prob, and that includes the facory headers or factory replacements
