$$500 what you think

Ok so i'm cruzin in a city near by, and i see a 89 CRX SI. Guy wants 500 dollars for it. Just got new gas tank and fuel pump, And about 1500 worth of new parts. It was a bad water pump, and just had a new head gasket put on. Needs to be drained cuz water was in the oil when the head gasket blew. Other than that it runs well, sunroof works and interior is complete except for drivers seat and carpet needs to be replaced. Had some body work done on the right rear fender don't know the extent of that. Still just bondo on it. But i was looking at it and saw it was just 500 and was considering picking it up just to work on and maybe drop a B16A into eventually and Do an all motor build. Anyway for $500 i thought it was a steal. What do you think??? PLease advise

Dude you could make your money back just by sellin the shell and motor/tranny/computer seperate. Go for it.

see thats what i was thinking. In the end if i didn't want it i could easily get $500 for it

hell yea thats a good deal, pending the bodys actual shape and extent of rust, if there was water in the oil, i'd drain the car completely and let it just sit in the sun for a couple days so everything gets dryied out. keep the hood open remember so its the engine thats getting the heat. water inside the engine usaully causes some serious problems down the line. but overall sounds like a good buy. if you want to make your money back all you really have to do is straighten the body out and put it in a nice coat of primer. you'll easily make your money back and then some.

yea i would buy it and flip it who knos u could always get it ruunnig and flip it quick

dude i woudl buy that and make it into a front wheel drive circle track car. those cars are perfect for that.

Man my room mates are both import freaks, I know all the drag racers here in Oklahoma dig the hatch backs. I know you could sell one the shell to put their own built motor in, they look for that crap all the time. You could easily make money on it if you didn't want to fix it.

Well i was going to go today and drop the 500 on it and take it home. Unfotunately i just had to put my truck in the shop and my bill totalled $600. So the money for the car is now fixing my truck. So i'm not gonna get it, plus it looks like i'm moving. Don't know where to yet though. Up for ideas LOL. I was thinking dallas or something. Just wanna get outta fuckin Louisiana.
