I just acquired an Isuzu. That has a "Custom" paint job of blue and purple over factory silver and well it looks pretty gay. From what I can tell it looks like the blue and purple was just spray right over. I am unsure if the factory clear was sanded down or not. My question is can I wet sand this blue and purple down to the stock silver and then just get the truck touched up from there.

The pictures really dont show the quality of the work. Its like one coat of each color. The stock pinstripe was not removed completely. Its orange peel to hell. I can see the ridges from where the colors break and the paint is starting to come off on drivers side roof.

i wanna say that your truck was probably blue to begin with. that blue is a very common isuzu color , i have probably never seen a silver pup.

No it was silver. The door jambs, under hood, inner wells, interior, and etc are all silver.
