im thinkin about doin a cali combo on my truck. a real one not with a skin. what i want to know is what are the odds of it cracking.would it help if they weld in U bends on the inside? also when i bag it, say i drag my roll pan or something will it fuck up the whole thing since it is now conected?

The best way is to weld in a couple inch by inch box tubing braces along the in side....it will help with rigidity and help the bed from flexing on the combo...Weld one along the top to hang the combo then one in the middle then one along the bottom.

as for dragging the pan, it will mess it all up in a way but then you could just cut the lower part out and weld in a regular roll pan.
