I'm needing to space my rear bags up 1.4" So I was thinking since right now my 2600 Contis have 2 bolts on the bottom, making it a little complicated.. I could possibly use some of these adapters, drill a center bolt hole on my lower bag brackets (instead of the 2600 conti 2 bolt pattern), and use some circle plates/longer countersunk bolts to space it.

Just realized that 3/16" circle plates alone would take like 6 circle plates to space that even with the adaptor figured in

I've seen plenty of people space their bags up by just welding single bolts in place and spinning the bag onto it.. but for a 1.4" spacing and 2 bolt hole pattern I don't see how to allow for a wrench.. could maybe just use 5" tube and bolt bag to plate/weld plate to tube then have to cut the tube in half to remove bag from spacer if ever needed.

Just figured I'd post my thoughts in case anyone has a better idea lol.

try 1x3 3/16 c channel. Put one piece on top of the axle, straddling it. then take another one, drilled for the bag, and turn it 90 degrees from the other one. Tada. Or just make a taller saddle out of 1.75x1.75 box tubing. Add cuts for axle, drill and weld, you get the idea

I already have lower bag brackets welded to axle, is your idea a way of kinda makin all new brackets?

I was thinking also, cut the 'keyhole' type shape holes into my lower bracket, that way a regular spacer (some 5" tube and 2 circle plates) would work, and longer bolts wouldnt be a problem.. just sit the heads down into the larger part of the keyhole shape, slide over into regular boltholes and tighten.

Old wheel/tire combo 215/35/18, new 205/40/16 so 1.4" difference, I'm a dumbass and thought thatd be what spacing I need.. when really I'd need half of that Maybe not even affecting me, I'll put the wheels on and see..

1" 5"diameter tube with 2 3/16 plates will bring you to 1 3/8" thats about 1/32" under .4", the conti. bags bolt holes are 2.75" from center to center of each bolt, ive done this before for a truck that had tiny wheels but was set up for 20" worked great, if your on a lever setup youneed to make them slanted

good luck
