i want to cut the back off a s-10 2 door blazer and the top as well and make a bed out of it for my truck. i want to join it to the cab and smooth the tops down with sheet meatl. is hte s-10 blazers wider than an s-10 truck. if so that gives me a good reason to go ahead and cut the floor out and smotth it all down. it will already have smooth tail gate and the body lines match and cut a piece form my old bed to weld the halfs together. what do you all think. i want something different than other. want ppl to scratch their head and ask if it is a blazer or a truck. i know it will be alot of work but the bed will be a little bigger. might have to change the way the balzer end mounts up and make it like a truck or use the blazer mounts. any ideas would be greatly appericated.

i have no idea what you are trying to say, but from the sounds of it you are basically going to make a blazer out of your s10? wouldnt it be easier to just start with a blazer and add an s10 rear section for your box?

i want the truck cab to be there and just take the back part of the blazer with out the seat and weld it to the truck like unibody it.

then do a blazer instead of makin one??? seems like ur doin more work for somethin noone is gonna notice but you since you did it. it be a diffrent story if u left it as a bed seperate from the cab but then it would look like a really ugly topper hehe. good luck though

it will be alot of work but it wills stand out because the back of the cab will be head board of the bed and smooth the flower out and the sides will be smaller. it will be different than anything around my way.im gonna cut off the top and just use the bottom section below the glass.

ok if im reading this right.... you wanna take a blazer and make it into an s10truck thats convertable... but your gonna cut the back half off the blazer and weld the s10 bed into the truck making it have a smooth tail gate basically making it a unibody s10 thats convertable? doesnt sound all that diffrent as unibodys are still done every so often & convertibles are done still to this day the idea actully kinda sounds 1988 ish

ok take the back part from behind the door of an 88 blazer casue thats what my truck is. cut it the glass off the top of it down to its even with the bottom of the reveiw glass in my truck ot the same high as my bed. put it on there use sheetmetal to fill it to the back of the cab and then use sheetmetal to cut out the floor and smoth it out. and use some metal from the bed to get the bodylines. making it a unibody. and smoeth where u cut the top off in each side. thats about it.
