I just got finished with my fenders that i posted about earlier this month and they look great. i'll post pics later. I am continuing on by molding a rollpan in. I think i'm getting it from Grant Kustomz. Should i bolt it on and mold it in? I'm sort of worried if i bolt it in it would have room to shake a tiny bit causing the bondo to crack. Is there anyway that i could weld it?

if its the 'glass bed, you cant weld it. you can however use 3m panel bond. heard it works pretty well, better than glassin over steel.

i've figured out two good ways it seems that most people do this. One is to use Fusor Seam Sealer to join the fiberglass and steel, screw it in to hold it in position of course, but don't use bondo to fill gaps, just use a body filler to skim it.

another way, is to use the grant kustoms pan as a mold. cover it with wax paper or ducttape and make a fiberglass pan from the mold. That's the way i'm considering doing it.

i wouldnt do the steel to fiberglass thing....on my 94 i had a fiberglass one made and it was nie and thick and it wasnt going anywhere cause it was literally a part of the FIBEERGLASS bedsides. trust me.. if your sitting here wprrying about bonding the steel one to the fiberglass why dont you just make a mold out of the steel one then sell the steel one... of heck... make 1,000 molds out of that steel one and sell them to other ranger people that need em.. a money making idea there!

yea panel bond isnt designed for fiberglass, only metal, but fusor shouldwork, aslong has you have it sercured to the bedsides good.

so just take wipe over a think coat of fusor seam sealer...so how does this stuff work? is it sandable? if so, it sounds like the way to go so where would i get fusor seam sealer? haha, if u guys havent noticed, on a scale from 1 to 10 i am about a -2 on the bodywork, but dont have my hands on a sizable budget so i am going to do alot of this stuff myself

aight the fusor is a 2 part adhesive.depending on how your pan attaches, i would put it on the back side or in betweenthe side of the pan and bed side. it is sandable, but it will take a grinder to do it.
