for bent tubing

or you can just make a posterboard template for the compound cut, trace it to your tubing and cut it out with a plasma or cutoff wheel

You could cut a "v" shaped notch out of the tubing and bend it and weld it back together.

I would make sure the weld is strong and then gusset both sides after it is done.

On an episode of Monster Garage, When they are building the semi truck chopper they take some 2x4 metal and do small v shape cuts about1/2 inch to get a bend and weld all the cuts back up to get a bend to go to the semi wheel for the front of the semi truck chopper. If this is even what you are trying to do I don't know. But I would imagine you could look it up on the internet to see a picture of it. Hope this helps
