SMC water/oil seperator

I wasn't able to find any threads answering this question.

If I mount the water/oil seperator directly off of my engine driven compressor, will the heat cause any problems I need to know about? I know if it is on the firewall it would be okay, but not sure about heat right off the top of the York.

I would mount it off of the EDC just to be sure nothing happens to it. JM2C. L8R

yea... mine is under the bed..

my friend had his right after the compressor and it got so hot it blew the glass out of the seperator...

ive heard of some other stories too...

Thanks. Someone also mentioned to me the moisture comes from the compressed air cooling so to make the trap most effective it should be further away.

yep that was me in the other thread

i mounted my buddy's like 9' away (its an Oasis at the back of the truck and the tank is at the front of the bed) and it collects a hella ton of water. which is awesome so that crap doesnt sit in the tank
