i need to know what are the steps to molding fiberglass bumpers, side skirts onto the metal of a car/truck. i know some uses the fusor adhesive glue but theres several different kinds of that, so was wondering if that was the only glue to use for this. any special steps to do this? also wondering if it cracks when the car goes over bumps n etc??

u just dont do it. fiberglass to metal will not hold very long. not like fiberglass to fiberglass. its like bondoing plastic.

Ive personally never had any luck with molding fiberglass to steel. Of all the different things ive done, none of them cracked. They just showed panel edges, becuase of the different expansion rates of the materials.

I have use the fusor 141 its a urathane glue it works good for some stuff strong as hell but you will see the edges between the metal and fiberglass we have tried a bunch of diferent things but none have worked. If you do it you will more than likely be disapointed with the results

Just what jason said, fusor sucks too. Ive tried everything under the sun to get it to work, never had a crack or anything like that, just shows panel edges.

ok so the fusor wont crack but the edges shows.. i dont suppose building layers of mat/fiberglass on that edge will do the trick for smoothing that edge? im guessin that fiberglassing that area after you use fusor the fiberglass will crack.. i'm probably better off to not mold it.. just bolt my fiberglass pieces to the body n let it be.
