i have a 2004 dakota and need a set of cups to mount the bags to. I have the stock upper arms along with DJM lower arms. would i just be able to use a set of S-10 cups or what do i need? What are all of you using?

hey bud i just fabbed some cups for a buddy of mine and he is layin low in his 02 dakota. you asked if you can use s10 cups i think you can if you drill some holes on your lower control arms, but the bags wont (sit) right. I also recommend front shock relocaters bro. I made his bag cups from 3/16 thick 5 inch tubing and some bag plates from suicide doors. It seems like nobody makes dakota parts. hit me back if you have any questions

why wouldn't the bags sit right with the s10 cups.... my lower arms are DJM so they have a flat pocket to mount the bag. so unlike the stock arms i wouldn't have to angle them

i use a normal cup for a fullsize chevy up top, and plate the lower arm. get your cups @ gravity-werx.com. you can use cups top and bottom if you want. just get some made for a f/s chevy.

yeah man the top cup at a angle and the bottom also if you use cups with your lower drop arms you can weld a 1/4 inch plate and drill a 3/8 hole for your bag, i dont have the stock arms any more.you dont have to use you stock arms.

there is no need to angle the cup, i put 30k miles on my truck bagged with flat cups up top and plated lower arms. i did another and built tubular arms and still used a flat cup up top.

Really? i tried flat cups too. and i have also tried angled they work about the same except that the upper cup not angled wobbled for some reason? thats why i started to angle the top cups. either way works i think.
