I have a 85 nissan 720. I want to put it on 20s right now i have some 15" rims with 65 series tire they measure about 24 1/4" tall my friend has 20s with 30 series that measure 26 1/4" so im about 2" off right now. i can go maybe 1" bigger before the tires will come through the hood. so i was wondering if there was something i could do to get some more negative camber so i can tuck 20s when fully laid out. I dont think ill have a problem with 20s at normal ride heighth but my truck will be body droped to the door so i need the negative camber to fit the 20s. any ideas?

Hey Ricky, more negative camber will only make the tire taller. While the tire is sitting flat it is 26 1/4" tall. When it leans to the side, it gets prgressively taller. There is a 25.3" tall tire. I don't remember how tall you said your hood was. But when you door it its going to get worse. I say you just run 18s, they'll come close ot the hood and tuck a lot. 18s are big on trucks this size. And I can add more camber in your arms when I build them if you want.

hmmm yea i guess i didnt think of it that way. in order to get it the way i want i would have to make it camber at almost a 60 deg angle making the tire almost touch then engine block. yea i could probably go 25" or so now. i kinda have a problem wanting to put bigger wheels on my trucks than what will acatually fit. when i switch the front to the toyota suspension i can put the 18s on it that i have that way i can see how it looks.

The tire probably would touch the engine cambered that far. Mine touched my header at 29 degrees. The other side wouldn't lay. Measure the total height of your fender when laid out, subtract about 1/4" and thats about the tire size you could run, with the camber. 18s will probably be hge on your truck. They're fucking massive on mine. You could probably just set the back up for 20s.

And I think I left my sleeping bag in your truck.
