they both do the job at hand....trubo spools, supercharger kicks in right away i believe. turbo is not engine driven while supercharger is...

If effeciency is what you desire while gaining a bit of power and mpg then a roots type blower can give that effect. Tuning is the key. Without a good tune forget it. It also depends on the amount that you put your foot in it. Turbo's are more effective on giveing max power and can be limitless to some extent. Things link meth/water injection and realtime tuning will help greatly. I know of guys running 11psi roots blowers on yota 3.4L taco engines with water injection that get almost 300hp and about 22mpg and up to 26mpg on the highway, aint bad for that kind of power.
