I just replaced my 19" Samsung CRT with a 19" Viewsonic LCD. The picture on the Samsun was great, and the Viewsonic had an awesome picture on the display, But I can't for the life of me get the damn thing to look good on my computer. All my colors in photoshop look jacked up. I have an nVidia geForce 2 GTS graphics card. I tried using Adobe Gamma, and it just got worse. Any suggestions?

Can you describe what is "jacked up looking?" I use a 21-inch Sony Trinitron CRT at home (which I love). They bought me a 21-inch Sony LCD at work and I hated it. Cartoon colors, detail-less blacks, fake white, etc, etc. Calibrated the hell out of it with the same Spyder I use at home and it still was "cartoonish". Traded it in for a CRT and I am happy again. The Apple Cinemas are killer LCDs from what I can tell here at work.
I'd say to get your hands on a Spyder and try calibrating it. You might want to check where you have your white point set. And if you had loaded the software that came with the Samsung, that will effect the presentation as well. Delete it.
