I need some replacement timing belt covers for my dads '93 Mazda B2200. Obviously an 8 valve engine. On Ebay there is a pair of covers from a probe 12 valve engine. They look the same to me. Will they work? Or does someone have an extra set? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Timing-Belt-Cover-92-Mazda-MX6-2-2L-12-valve-used_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33625QQitemZ8023476920QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V

Are the gods angry........

There is only one God, and its not anyone one SSM.

That said, I dont see why it wouldnt fit, its the same engine. The 12v MX6 motor was different from the 12v 2.6 B2600i motor, it was the same block and basic head design as the B2200, in fact if you look at the tops of your truck pistons they have three valve reliefs cut in them haha.

So give it a shot, should bolt on. If it doent well you will have my deepest condolences lol. Seriously though, I have never tried using those timing covers on a truck. Let us know how it works!

Right on Russ-D. I'll give them a shot. Thanks

they'd mostlikely bolt up...the timing marks on the cover just might not be corresponding to the motor's timing...just a possibility

I've put timing belts on both of the 8 valve and 12 valve f blocks, they seem to be the same to me if my memory serves me right. Like russ said- same basic design

I guarantee they are the same I have the 12 valve motor in my truck.

I got the covers from ebay and they fit great. Thanks guys. I have some more parts that I need. I need the pair of motor mounts, the bracket and pully that holds the radiator fan, the alternator brackets, and the aluminum tube that bolts to the side of the motor that the lower radiator hose hooks to.
