Eventually i want to swap the rear end of my nissan 720 with an IRS from an RX-7 and i was thinking of putting a cantaleiver setup on it but then again im not sure what the best type of setup would be for this application. any thoughts?

Cantilever would probably ride pretty good, and look cool.

Thats what i was thinking to! ill have to check and see if anyone makes a cantaleiver setup for the 720

It would have to be custom Ricky. Lol. I don't think anyone makes a cantilever kit for anything, especially with IRS. I told you I'd back half it for you. I'm gonna roll my truck outside next week.

KP makes plenty of cantilever kits for GM and fords. Flint says Can Do makes a universal cantilever so that might be one way to look. I havnt done a whole lot of projects like this so im not sure how hard it would be to make your own cantilever setup. I know i ask a lot of stupid question sometime but i gotta learn somehow. also i got summer vacation coming up in 2 weeks so i was thinking maybe in 2 weeks i could bring my truck over and we could back half it. maybe work on the front arms since ill have it there. how many days you think i should get off work. i was thinking maybe take 3 days off work plus ill have the weekend.

Cando Does make a cantilever kit. But the thing is, with an IRS, the angles change, so just normal bushings won't cut it. You need heims or something.

If you've got a rear end before your summer vacation bring it over for sure. If you have 5 days off we could finish up the majority of it I'm sure, and I could finish the little things on my own.

And from what the other guy says it sounds like we would have to narrow it. No big deal though, just do that first. It would probably be a good idea to figure out a rough design this week to figure out what kind of parts would need to order. And then just get some tube and go at it. Lol.
