Goto Autozone and get them to hook a computer to it to see what prob code comes up

May sound stupid, but check and make sure that you have proper battery voltage and the alternator is properly charging your electrical system. Sometimes the different control modules can act goofy if they do not consistantly recieve the proper voltage. Me personally, I usually see that happen more with european cars, but its possible in yours too. Thats a good starting point to check before dropping a ton of money at a dealer.

i am pretty sure that when the o/d light is flashing, that indicates a transmission problem.

I'M NOT A MECHANIC OF ANYTHING BUT IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE A BAD WHEEL SPEED SENSOR, THAT WOULD CAUSE THE ABS LIGHT, BAD SHIFTING/ SPEEDO NOT TO WORK. GOOD LUCK

Yeah if your OD light is blinking then there is something wrong with the tranny. I had that happen on my f-450 and my f-250 The 450 just needed a new torque converter $850 and my 250 needed a whole new tranny $3000. So good luck BTW if you take it to a local dealer they may read it for you for free. Thats what they did on mine the guy just came out and read the codes to the tranny in the parking lot.

Honestly, I had a 99 Ranger did the exact same thing and I thught the trans took a dump. However, as it turned out I had a failed input sensor (speed) on the transmission. Basically a little over a 100 bucks later and never had the issue again.

Also, should have looked first, but if you are bagged and not running wheel wells in front you need to look at your wiring harness that runs over the left tire. Rubbing through those wires will do the exact same thing.

but yea fuck autozone, they cant read tranny codes. sounds like the speed sensor in the tranny took a dump.
