My box is already built go on my profile and look. I want to port it by cutting the back out and do the port under the back seat. Now the people i deal with when it comes to audio told the would do it and put it under the back seat like i said. My box is 2.5 cubic feet roughly. Now could you give me help on how to build the port?

i would leave it sealed, i dont think you have enough airspace(minus pot displacement and speaker displacement) to make it a ported box and have it perform better then your current setup.

Leve it sealed. You would be able to get away with just having one 12 in a box @ 2.5 but definatly not 2.

Not neccasarily. It All depends on the type of sub and the size of the box

yea and for him to have a big enough port he would loose significant airspace.

those type r's are beasts ported. the new model completely owns. i know of one guy breaking 150's with one ten.

there really not that impressive

only 500wrms for 220, you can get a rebuild digital design 9515 for that and put up numbers that make that type r look like a tweeter.

annney ways he would need 4-5'^3 inorder to be able to make a decent sounding ported box.

RMS means nothing if you know what your doing. guys are putting 1200 clean on those 10's. 150 with one TEN? thats rediculous, let alone a 200 dollar ten. making a sub look like a tweeter, doesnt make sense. tweeters play the highs, subs play lows.....does that mean ur saying the type r will seam to be playing high notes compared to a DD playing the same notes? lolol.

you havent had any experience with these subs i take it? (type r of any size?) mark potts was doing 155 with a single 15 i believe in meca. RMS means NOTHING!
