well that's the next step for me. I have to buid a box and install the 12" sub. In fact at the end of this semester I will build a second box, this one will be ported. I want to experience first had the difference between ported and sealed boxes.

Soon I will build a box and trow in that 12" to see what it does. It's not as big but it can take twice the power. We'll see how it holds up.

the new eclipse units are amazing. everything eclipse to me seems a step above the rest in the price range. i have a 3414 cd player from like helll 3 years ago? bad ass little head unit and matches the car perfectly.

a tip for you. where ur speakers meet the dynamat, get some modeling clay, the kind that will not harden and seal around the mounting ring with that, against the deadner. makes sure NO LEAKS occur, even ones u cant see/feel/hear.

I have never used this brand before. Thereason I chose them was because the comparability with my steering wheel contrls. I did some research and 5 out of 10 people use elipse for the head unit. I went to circuit city and looked at them and I was impressed, so I got one. It is compatible with all satilite radion i-pod ans map quest.com. Yes I said Mapquest. I a very nice feature that alows your radio to be your guide turn by turn. 5volt preout it also nice and the overall performance is amazing.
