rust on windows, mirrors...

Well, some how we got metal on my window and rear view mirror on the right side of my truck.....well just wondering how to get rust off the glass?

get new glass

yea that`s the only way to do it because the metal melts into the glass from what i noticed on my truck and it does not come out and your window will feel textured and there is no fix that i know of so its new glass or roll with rust

it wont get it perfect but you can use #0000 steel wool...it'll help a little

thanks for the input guys...i will try the #0000 steel wool and if that dont work, well, windows bill will be added to the Discover card tally...woo hoo....

mine poped off the window with a razorblade it takes care of the rusting problem but if u look close there is still a iindention in the window.
