I have one of those USB 64MB removable drives. I have some images I did from photoshop on there, and when I try to plug it in to my iMac the MAC cannot see the drive? Any Answers?????

you talking about a small flash drive you keep on your keychain? if so, did you save the stuff from a PC? if that is also true then you might have some problems if it's an older mac. the new macs can read anything from any computer almost, but the old ones aren't used to these new flash drives. They were even around when them macs were build so they won't be able to read them.... good luck

Yea it one of those, and yea it was saved from a pc. That's what I thought, it is too old. Will a portable HD work on that old iMAC OS 9.2?

9.2? that's fairly new for a jump drive not to work. i dont' know why it wouldn't... but for the HD, try it out and see.

also, you'll somtimes have issues when jumping back and forth from PC to mac with jump drives, depending on the OS's. such as, when you open the drive up on a PC you'll find a few extra files sitting there that you didn't see on the mac. it's normal, there will always be a .Trash file on there. You can delete it if you want, it'll just return the next time you go back to the mac and to the PC again... just some FYI for ya

Ok,thanks for the info, you would'nt happen to know if I could upgrade my old iMAC to OSX?

when you say old, how old of a mac we talkin here? i know when i was in school we had some older then dirt iMacs back before they started makin them in color'd cases. i believe they ran off 9. something also. U should be able to upgrade it but if i were you and it really means that much to you to use a mac... buy a new one. Them old ass ones aren't worth a damn anymore with all the new technology out....

It's the older one with the Blue color case w/6 gig HD

I had the same issue going from windows to mac osx 10.1, as ive started to understand it, you have to be using 10.2 or higher for any pc formatted drive to be useable on the mac. At least it did work on the macs we had at compusa when i worked thee, and they all ran 10.2 or higher.
