shocks and struts

can you use any brand of shock in the back of a art set up for 1996 mustang, it came with a set of shocks but i had them on my car for three years and my ride height change, so is it the shocks is going bad

your shocks don't hold your car up, so i don't think they would have an affect on your height. as long as your new shocks have the same amount of travel and the correct mounting, they should work.
