4.3 v-belt? or 350

Did the 4.3 ever come with a v belt setup? Can I use a sb chevy pulley setup? because they are esentially the same engine.Any help would be greatThanksJamie

it came with a v-belt set up in the 80's but you can use a small block set up to if you want to. they use the same pulleys

As long as you are not using a reverse waterflow waterpump you will be fine

ok how can I tell if it's a reverse flow? So if I get an alternator bracket and v-belt pulley set for a sb chevy it should fit my 94 4.3 then?

if its a reverse flow itll have serpentine pulleys on it, because they spin the water pump oppisite of a v-belt system, but if u dont have the pulleys on it, then i dnt know how to tell em apart
