I just got back from the shop that i got my state inspection done at, and they rejected it (lots of stupid sh*t wrong). I was just wondering how many of you guys live in states with state inspections, and wanted to know if anyone has problems with inspection and Air suspension. Will i be able to pass inspection when i get my bags (started ordering stuff last week) I live in Va (were one of the things they failed me for was a third brake light cover...WTF)

You need to move, ASAP. Any state that won't let you use a radar detector is too fucking strict. Just move down to Tennessee, we don't do the whole yearly inspection deal.

Alright guys thanks for the quick replies, that makes me feel a lot better...the whole thing about the third brake light cover had me worried, i mean if they say having a cover will fail me than what will they say when i re do my suspension completely

Here is VA's inspection list. My truck would get towed home for sure!

1. - REMOVE OLD INSPECTION STICKER.

2. - DRIVE VEHICLE INTO INSPECTION LANE.

3. - INSPECT BRAKES FOR:

Worn, damaged or missing parts.

Worn, contaminated or defective linings or drums.

Leaks in system, proper fluid level.

Worn, contaminated or defective disc pads or discs.
(NOTE: A minimum of two wheels and drums must be removed from each vehicle at the time of inspection. Consult the official inspection manual for exceptions.)

4. - INSPECT PARKING BRAKE FOR:

Broken or missing parts.

Proper adjustment.

Standard factory equipment or equivalent.

5. - INSPECT HEADLIGHTS FOR:

Approved type, aim, and output.

Condition of lamp, wiring and switch.

Beam indicator.

6. - INSPECT OTHER LIGHTS FOR:

Approved type, proper bulbs, condition of lenses, wiring and switch.

Aim of fog and driving lamps.

Illumination of all lamps, lens color, and condition of lens.
(NOTE: Every vehicle must have a rear lamp showing a red light to the rear, a white light illuminating the rear license plate; vehicles over 7 feet wide or extending 4 inches or more beyond the front fender extremes must be equipped with approved clearance lamps and reflex reflectors. Count load in measuring.)

Virginia's or better know as Vagina is not even a state so they suck monkey balls, its true they really do...I like to use the whole don't ask don't tell policy..I pull in at ride hight and never play with the switchs in front of them and just let them run it,they don't ask I don't tell...If they do ask then I play what do you mean it came like that, haven't you seen the new range rover and VW they have bags in them too,and if they pull the whole hey those are new cars then hit them with, fuck that buddy so do lincolns for years...If all else fales buy one for 100 bucks..

move! if you alter your suspension to lower it then you will get your truck towed. i lived there for 5 years had a lincoln on switches sitting at stock height going to workone night never touched the switches once and got pulled over for it riding "rough". the officer proceded to ask if it had hydraulics inspect for them and take my license plate and registration card from me and tow the car. even though it was registered and inspected in west virginia legally. he told me the state police want all vehicles with air and hydraulic suspension off of the roads in their state. so i had 30 days to remove the hydraulics and put on factory suspension and have it inspected by him and the chief of police. fun fun. but if your truck is lifted to the fucking sky know one will say shit. virginia blows balls i will never even drive throught hat state again. and no it will not pass inspection.
