does any one know where i can get an inlet filter like the whole thing for a viair 480 the one on my truck broke off and then i go and buy a new 480 and when i get to put the compressor on my truck i drop it and the filter breaks off completly leaving the thread inside my compressor so if anyone knows where i can get the whole inlet filter for my 480 i would appreciate it

I have 2 Viair 480 that they were nice enough to send to me and mine are not plastic around the filter, mine are metal that is chrome plated, now we are talking about the piece that holds the filter right. And cheap, look at the threads on the AirZenith or however you spell it, and when you speak to them and they ask if you want to go ahead and purchase a rebuild kit, that is a sure sign friends.

way to bash az but now that they got the problem fixed az is still faster than the 480 and i heard than the 480s were having problems

Shit... don't bother buying a replacement viair filter... just get a 'ricer' K&N small filter from autozone, get a 1/4" NPT nipple, and a small clamp and put it on the compressor. Reusable, and simple to do.

Oh, and don't drop the compressors anymore and you might not break the filters off... lol.
