toyota motor clean up

i need help on finding out what i can do with all the crap that is on top of the valve cover. ive seen a few toyota 22 rs that didnt have it and i want to know how i can get away with removing it all and still function corectly

that info would be helpful for me too...im about to put a new motor in my truck and i want to do everything i can to clean it up when putting it in.

im pretty sure i asked Kyle, i think his new name on here is like STDragginAss or somethin used to be XMDragginAss, and he said he just unbolted the small bracket that holes all the vacuum type lines, and just moved it as far down as he could out of sight, and the ones that still had to show he used some of those dress up color hoses you can find at most part stores.
