Thoughts about trading a quad for a bike

Alright so ive owned a 06' kfx 400 4-wheeler for a few months and had some fun on it... I got to the dealer to order a few parts and i start bs'in with a salesman and i throw out do yall make trades? The guy's like you got a pretty new quad im sure we could work something out cause im gettin kinda tired of the 4 wheeler and ive always wanted a bike... Well my question is ive never even rode a bike and im nuts in my truck(nuts as in driving crazy and fast) so im kinda iffy about getting a bike how you guys with bikes feel when you first rode should i be thinking like this or should i say F' it and do it and just take it easy? Opinions are needed.... thanks ahead of time

Thats the reason i dont have a bike, i love to go FAST. That would be the first thing i would do if i got a bike....GO FAST!

stick with the quad....i got hit by a minivan with a soccer mom on her cellphone argueing with her daughter about staying out late....and the other night a guy was under a sheet in the middle of the road and this crotch rocket was laying in someones yard and supposedly his foot was missing. if you dont trust yourself as far as acting a fool and getting killed dont get one. a buddy of mine died right in front of me and it sucked because a week later his g/f found out she was pregnant with his baby. your choice man but i prefer to go low and slow from now on.

are you talkin about a dirt bike or a street bike? get real good on 4 wheels before 2.

iv never been a fan of 4 wheelers. iv been riding dirtbikes for a long time and im anxious to get a streetbike in the near future.

if you dont have self control to the point where ud be freakin out all the time acting like a jackass on a bike then thats one thing. but if you know your skill level and can play around on the street 'safely' thats another.

theirs a time and place for everything. highchairs during 5:30 traffic isnt the smartest thing. high chairs on the road out by granpas farm 30 miles out of the city is another.
