ok, i got this compressor, read what it says in the bottom line about a pressure switch......

http://www.viaircorp.com/380c.html

it says use a non adjustable pressure switch. i have a adjustable one hooked up to it right now. will there be a problem? why do they say that? cause they dont want it going over some much psi? and a adkustable could do that? any one help me out? thanks

To be covered by them it cant be an adj switch because you can set it to a higher psi than what the compressor is ratted for.

ok, thanks. so i have an adjustable one now. i guess i need the other one to be 'safe' the one i have adjusts to like 400psi and i take it ill never need that much? can my tank ( 6 gallon) even hold that much? or should i say my compressor put out that much?

the viair 380c is rated for 200psi, so anything above that would void the warranty and put strain on it, shortening how long itd last you.

i also wouldnt see you needing 400psi, thats if your application is a daily driver that you dont plan on hopping all 4 wheels off the ground lol, in that case youd run compressed air, and a high rated Slam bag more than likely.

yea, no hopping for me. i need to get the right pressure switch i guess.thanks
